Sound principles and also a powerful mindset
I've learned a lot from Chad over the past few years and this book is a very concise and powerful accumulation of what he's taught me. Though Chad's teaching, I changed how I viewed money. I started putting more and more of it away. I turned "investing" into an automated system, which increased my confidence and my spending habits. I now have a clear and powerful plan moving forward. Money becomes stress-free when you get in control of it, and when you have a plan and vision. This is a very good book and if you want financial success and peace of mind, you'll love it.
Sound financial advice for anyone, regardless of stage of life
I do not know the author personally. I came across a social media post about his book, bought it (Kindle), and read the whole thing today. I was not paid or compensated in any way for this review. This book is a great short read! Most financial freedom books usually talk about the hype: bitcoin (BTC), fix and flip real estate, indexed universal life policies, passive income strategies, etc. This is NOT that book. This book focuses on sound, strategic financial principles that would benefit anyone, no matter how rich or poor you are. Finance is my side hobby and I spend quite a bit of time reading about the pros and cons of various financial products. Despite my education over the past few years, there were some chapters in this book with specific ideas on how I could improve my financial security that I had not previously considered. Definitely worth the money. My favorite chapter was the chapter on focusing on short term and long term goals rather than arbitrary dollar amounts for retirement. Taking a comprehensive goal-based approach makes a lot of sense, but most people don't take that approach.
Must read! Life changing lessons and entertaining!
This was my honest to goodness view while reading this book. I read this book because I know Chad and already practice the principles he teaches in the book. Because of these principles I have retired early. In my early 40s. I am not saying this to brag. I’m saying this to add my voice to many others who owe Chad a large debt of gratitude for his generous and invaluable guidance. Read it. But also practice what it teaches. You will thank me later.
A Refreshing Take on an Important Topic
It's nice to see the steady wisdom of Chad Willardson translate from his larger-than-life online personality and financial know-how into a succinct book of financial wisdom. My only regret is I wish I had known and exercised this wisdom earlier in my life to create positive change and as Chad taught to have a "stress-free relationship with money". A great book, I highly recommend this short read to potentially make a huge impact on your financial future.
Excellent advice for people who think they can effectively manage their own money
The target audience for this book is people who have experienced poor results either managing their own money, or using a non-fiduciary to manage it for them. I have a degree in Economics, a MBA and a law degree, have worked in the trusts and estates area of the law, and have followed the markets daily for 25 years. I have never used a financial advisor or asset manager, and never thought I needed one. I was wrong. Reading Chad‘s book helped me to realize how many common financial mistakes I have made over the years, and how much better off I would have been had I received and heeded this advice 25 years ago. Just as the lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client, the reality is that you really can’t be objective about your own financial situation. It is too easy to let major decisions be influenced by fear and greed, and to not stick to a plan, if you even have a plan, much less a good plan.
Solid approach to aligning your financial plan with your priorities & proven wisdom
Chad does a great job of explaining why it's so important to get clear about out personal priorities and goals (family, lifestyle, etc.) and use those to formulate our financial plans. As someone who's been in the insurance & financial services industry for decades, it's always encouraging to see a professional that not only talks about putting people before profits... but also demonstrates how to do it.
Great Money Management Tips
This book gives clear, easy to understand money management principles. Easy to read, and also very easy to relate to my personal financial situation. I would recommend this book to anybody who feels they could be getting more out of their money with wise, time tested money management and investment techniques. This book does not try to sell any trendy or high risk strategies. Rather you will be impressed with how common sense so much of it all is. Give it a read!
Powerful Wisdom
Stress Free Money is an "EXCELLENT" book. More importantly, it's an easy read, and Chad provides advantageous insight into an area that most of need help with: managing our finances. This is a must read. I highly recommend!
Must read when talking finances and your future!
This is a must read for anyone seriously looking at their future. Mr. Willardson asks some questions I’d not thought about regarding my future and what type of retirement I want to have. The question is a real life changer and the beginning of a new relationship with money. I’d always had a dollar amount in my head I wanted to have for retirement but this book explains why it’s more than a dollar amount. Great read and already passed it on to my adult son. Highly recommend! (Easy read too!)
Financial stress removed!
This book by Mr willardson was a quick easy read that helps sum up the thoughts that I had been having for a very long time about financial stress and how I could best manage it. It was great to see the easy concepts to follow. I especially liked the idea of setting goals and making sure that I stuck to those goals regardless of what was going on in the markets. I'm going to recommend this book to all of my friends, and I'm lucky to have a lot of very very successful friends.
